Gratitude, on video

VidThanks started with a simple observation: a thank-you email gets skimmed and deleted, but a 30-second personal video gets watched, remembered, and shared. Businesses spend fortunes acquiring customers and then thank them with a template. We think the thank-you is the marketing.

The platform does three things well. It lets you record and send personal video messages — with a teleprompter, auto-captions, and tracking that shows exactly who watched. It collects video replies and testimonials from the people you send to. And it turns happy customers into Google reviews, including video reviews recorded on the spot with our free review recorder — no app install, everything in the phone browser.

VidThanks is built by founder Rick Brown and is based in Pattaya, Thailand — which is also why our pricing works for local businesses in emerging markets, not just the West: visitors in supported markets see fair local pricing in their own currency.

We run our own software at production scale. Helmet Heroes Thailand, the nonprofit Rick founded to put free certified helmets on Thai children, uses VidThanks for donor thank-yous, sponsor updates, and video reviews — every feature you use has been battle-tested there first. Nonprofits hold a special place here; if you run one, talk to us.

What we believe

  • Personal beats polished. A real face on a phone camera outperforms a produced ad for building trust.
  • No app, ever. Every recipient experience works in the browser, on any device.
  • Give first. The review flow works because the customer gets something valuable — their own video — before being asked for anything.
